Walking the Brooklyn Bridge was one of our major goals in New York City, but we did it in the rain and it was undergoing repairs so that we couldn't see everything as clearly as we had hoped. Nevertheless it is magnificent, and you do indeed walk above the traffic rather than alongside it as on other bridges.
